New Jersey Society of CPAs Opens
Nominations for its 2024 Ovation Awards

The New Jersey Society of CPAs is accepting nominations for its 2024 Ovation Awards from June 11 to Sept.
11, 2024. The awards honor New Jersey professionals in seven categories: Diversity,
Equity & Inclusion; Impact; Innovation; Emerging Leaders; Exceptional
Educators; Lifetime Leader and Women to Watch.
The NJCPA Ovation Awards recognize outstanding
accomplishments, selfless volunteerism, impactful commitments to improving the
efficiency of accounting and a lifetime of dedication to the accounting
profession. Those selected have also contributed significantly to accounting by
mentoring others and helping to maintain an open, diverse and equitable
workplace.
Nominees can be self-nominated or nominated by a colleague. Only NJCPA members are eligible for the Emerging
Leader, Women to Watch and Lifetime Leader categories, but nonmembers are
eligible for the other awards.
“We are excited to celebrate those amazing individuals who make
their mark on the accounting profession every day and inspire their staff,
colleagues and younger professionals to do the same,” said Aiysha (AJ) Johnson,
MA, IOM, CEO and executive director at the NJCPA. “We are thankful to have such
selfless members and appreciate the efforts of others to grow the accounting
profession.”
Winners will be announced during the NJCPA IssuesWatch Live broadcast on
Oct. 16, 2024, and profiled in the winter issue of New Jersey CPA, the NJCPA’s
