Free Virtual Tax Call-In Event for Taxpayers Hosted by New Jersey Society of CPAs and the New Jersey State Library

NJCPA Members to Answer State and Federal Tax Questions

ROSELAND, N.J. – To assuage taxpayers’ concerns amid the current tax filing season, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) is teaming up with the New Jersey State Library (NJSL), an affiliate of Thomas Edison State University, to host a free virtual tax call-in event for the public on March 22 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

NJCPA members will be on hand to answer specific tax questions as well as more general topics related to taxpayers’ federal and state tax filings. Each caller will be connected with a CPA for a private, one-on-one conversation.

Those interested in participating can access the link, phone number and other information at njcpa.org/askacpa.

NJSL offers a variety of informational services and virtual events for New Jerseyans. It uses state and federal funds to periodically offer competitive grant opportunities for New Jersey libraries statewide and provides training opportunities for librarians and support staff.

"We’re proud to partner with the NJCPA on this important tax assistance event. Through our Money Smart for Life initiative, the State Library is supporting libraries statewide in providing trusted financial education and resources for their communities. Libraries are uniquely positioned to fill critical gaps, helping New Jersey residents navigate financial challenges and make informed decisions," said Andrea Levandowski, adult services specialist at NJSL.

The NJCPA routinely partners with organizations like NJSL in protecting the interests of the public and taxpayers across the Garden State and in advocating for our members, which include CPAs, accounting and finance professionals, students and academics.

“We are grateful to be joining forces with the New Jersey State Library to ease the tax burdens of as many New Jersey taxpayers as possible. Opportunities like this remind us of what an important role CPAs play in helping individuals understand their finances and putting them on the best financial footing,” said Aiysha (AJ) Johnson, MA, IOM, CEO and executive director at the NJCPA.

The 2025 tax season runs from Jan. 26, 2026, until the standard deadline of April 15, 2026, or Oct. 15, 2026, if an extension is filed.
