New Jersey State Auditor David J. Kaschak released the state's first summary of its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) in April, after legislation drafted by the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA) and New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) was passed to create a more transparent understanding of the state's overall financial health.

Nearly 80 students from New Jersey colleges and universities came to the New Jersey Society of CPAs’ Accelerating Scholars in Accounting event last week at EisnerAmper’s Iselin office. They heard hands-on perspectives about the accounting profession and how to be resilient.

The New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA) welcomed 23 managing partners and/or their representatives at its Managing Partner Roundtable last week in Roseland to discuss current trends in the accounting profession.

The NJCPA Scholarship Fund has awarded $168,000 in scholarships to 38 New Jersey high school seniors entering college and current college students.

CPAs can assist their clients with creating collaborative divorces and avoiding so-called "messy divorces." Better valuations, such as using the income approach, the market approach and asset approaches can help.
