New Jersey Society of CPAs Welcomes Greg Tondi, CPA, CGMA, as Director of Finance & Administration

The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) is pleased to announce that Greg Tondi, CPA, CGMA, has been hired as Director of Finance & Administration, effective Jan. 22. Tondi was previously the controller at the United States Council for International Business in New York.

At the NJCPA, Tondi will oversee the accounting department and will be responsible for the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of NJCPA and its affiliates, which includes budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, investments, tax compliance, payroll, internal control systems and purchasing.

“As a member of the NJCPA since 2006 and with a wealth of nonprofit, industry and academic experience, Greg is well positioned to help the Society strategically plan for membership programs, advocacy work and increasing the pipeline of CPA candidates,” said Theresa Hinton, chief operating officer of the NJCPA.

Tondi previously served as controller at the College of St. Elizabeth and held various positions at Prudential Insurance Company. He also was an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University, where he taught business and accounting courses as well as organized networking and mentoring programs for students. Tondi has a B.S. in finance from Rutgers University School of Business and an M.S. in accounting from New Jersey City University.
