Like other dimensions of diversity, age equity can be complicated and requires acknowledgement, understanding and action to be meaningfully addressed. This session addresses why it’s important to distinguish between ageism and ableism, the ways that age bias impacts both ends of the age spectrum, how internalized ageism perpetuates an ageist culture, and how ageism compounds potential bias and discrimination across other dimensions of diversity.
