This month’s session looks at the continuing guidance on tax and PPP loan issues that has come out over the past month. The IRS has continued to issue and expand upon guidance to deal with the CARES Act changes, while the SBA has been updating guidance on the PPP loan program. This session will deal with these developments, plus recent court cases and other items of interest that take place up the date the course is presented. Attend the webcast to catch up on what was happening as you were working on those July 15 deadline returns.

  • SBA guidance updating the forgiveness rules following the changes in the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act, including the revised limitations on payroll costs paid to owners
  • IRS relief related to rolling 2020 RMDs back into retirement accounts (including the approaching deadline for doing so), as well as other CARES Act changes that impact IRAs and qualified plans
  • Recent court cases of interest, including a case where the use of the wrong FedEx service type resulted in a late filing
  • Other developments up to the date of the session
