Erika-Leigh Kelley, Esq. joined Cooper Levenson in 2001 as an associate in the Commercial Litigation practice group, to work on general Commercial Litigation matters including Administrative Law, Probate and General Equity. A graduate of Ursinus College (B.A. 1997) and Rutgers University School of Law – Camden (J.D. 2000), she served as an intern to the Honorable May Eva Colalillo of Camden County Superior Court in 1998 and 1999 (while working at the Rutgers Pro Bono Domestic Violence Center), and later as law clerk to the Honorable George L. Seltzer, Presiding Chancery - Vicinage 1. She was admitted to the bar in New Jersey and the United States District Court of New Jersey in 2000. Ms. Kelley is a member of the Atlantic, Cape May and Camden County Bar Associations.

Joseph Mahon is a partner in the firm’s Estate Planning & Administration Group. Michael L. Salad, Esq., LL.M. is a partner in the firm. He concentrates his practice on business transactions, tax matters, probate administration and estate and business planning. Michael holds an LL.M. in Estate Planning and Elder Law.

Michael began his career at Cooper Levenson as a summer clerk in 2009 and 2010. He worked primarily within the tax law arena, concentrating on will drafting and estate and asset protection planning as well as preparing and structuring shareholder agreements, limited liability company operating agreements and partnership agreements. In addition, Michael handles general corporate matters as well as mergers and acquisitions involving corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. Michael regularly travels between Florida and New Jersey and assists clients from the Northeast who are seeking to change their residency.

Robert E. Salad, Esq., LL.M. Partner With a keen eye for detail, and a well-earned depth and breadth of experience, Robert E. Salad is at the forefront in business and tax law. Joining Cooper Levenson in 1984, he now serves as President of the firm, and Chairman of the Tax and Business practice group. He has been a partner since 1988. Rob’s areas of expertise encompass almost all aspects of tax and business planning and transactions. More specifically, he focuses on matters involving the representation of businesses, including healthcare providers. He helps them to achieve business objectives, and also provides advice with respect to income tax issues. He handles both business and personal matters for his clients with the utmost sensitivity and timeliness.

A sought-after lecturer, Rob is informative and entertaining. Steven Scherzer

Steven Scherzer, Esq. is a partner in the Atlantic City office of the law firm Cooper Levenson. He joined the firm in 1988 and limits his practice to Probate Law, Condominium Law, and Commercial Litigation. In Commercial Litigation, Steve handles real estate law, partnership and corporate law. In Probate Law, he takes care of contested probate actions, will contests, trustees and estates. His work in Condominium Law includes property, vendor and resident disputes. Currently, Steve represents one of the largest (725 units) high-end residential complexes of its type on the east coast.

A graduate of the University of Rochester (B.A., 1972), and Rutgers University School of Law - Camden (J.D., cum laude, 1975), he was admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania in 1975 and in New Jersey in 1976. Steve is a member of the Atlantic County, Cape May County and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
