Karl J. Ahlrichs, SHRM-SCP, CSP Karl Ahlrichs has broad experience in Human Resources, Operations, Diversity and Inclusion, working with organizations from all industries. Karl is a national speaker and author, presenting on the people issues in Management and LEAN theory, and is often quoted in the local and national media. He is author of “Spaces between Places”, an artistic book about business travel.

Karl’s experience is perfectly suited to times of great organizational change. He has decades of strategic HR consulting to all industries, using risk management and good organizational development theories to bypass “best practices” and move directly to “next practices”.

Karl joined Gregory & Appel, an Indianapolis-based service firm, after serving as a founding partner of ExactHire. At those firms, his clients included manufacturers Roche Diagnostics, Boeing, Apple Computer, and Frito Lay.

Karl facilitates an invitation-only roundtable for CFOs, and for more than a decade he was the Program Chair for the Indiana Society for Human Resources Management annual conference. He is a member of SHRM, the Indiana Diversity Roundtable, American Society of Training and Development, and the Association for Psychological Type.

Karl has been named the SHRM Human Resource Professional of the Year for the State of Indiana. He has presented at the National SHRM Conference for 20 years, and holds the SHRM-SCP and Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certifications, and is a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) from the National Speakers Association.

Frank is an emeritus partner of WithumSmith+Brown, PC (Withum) with over 35 years of accounting and auditing experience. He is a licensed CPA in New York and New Jersey and has significant experience working with SEC registrants, small and large private entities in various industries, including hedge funds, private equity funds and finance companies. Frank is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and was a former member of the AICPA Peer Review Board. He is a past president of the NJCPA and currently chairs its Peer Review Executive Committee. Frank is a frequent lecturer on accounting and auditing and is a co-author of three accounting books.

Christopher Chudyk

Christopher Chudyk, CPA, CITP, partner, Traphagen Financial Group, Oradell, joined the NJCPA in 2004. He previously served as vice president, treasurer, secretary and director of the Bergen Chapter and is also a past chair of the NJCPA Technology Interest Group. Chudyk is a member of the AICPA and was recently appointed to the AICPA's Information Management Technology Assurance (IMTA) committee. He was recognized and selected as one of NJBIZ’s 2014 40 Under 40 Award Winners for his commitment to business growth, professional excellence and community service within New Jersey. Chudyk earned his BA at the Ramapo College of New Jersey. He enjoys working out (P90X and Insanity), playing softball and coaching. He and his wife, Dawn, have three children.

Karl Halteman is Director, Treasury & Risk Management for WIL Research Company, Inc. WIL is a privately held global Contract Research Organization that provides product safety toxicological research, bioanalytical, and formulation services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, agrochemical, and food products industries as well as manufacturing support for clinical trials. In his role, he oversees global cash & working capital management, debt compliance, insurance, supply chain management and internal controls for the company. Previously, he held external and internal audit positions at Deloitte, Cendant Corporation and Avis Budget Group.

Mr. Halteman earned a bachelor of science in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Syracuse University and an executive MBA in Finance and Leadership from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Mr. Halteman is an active member in the New Jersey Society of CPAs. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the organization for his work as chairperson of the Student Programs & Scholarships Committee and as a trustee of the Society’s scholarship fund. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the Society and is currently a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.

Mark J. Philips graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. Mr. Philips began his professional career with the New Jersey Division of Taxation where he was employed for nearly six years. Mr. Philips, while at the Division of Taxation, served as a Forensic Auditor with the Division’s Office of Criminal Investigation, and then transitioned to the Division’s Conference and Appeals Branch where he served as a Conferee. During this time, Mr. Philips also taught accounting as an Adjunct Professor at Burlington County College. Mr. Philips is a CPA with a Master of Accountancy in Taxation from Rutgers University. Mr. Philips joined KPMG LLP’s State and Local Tax Practice in September 2008 where he currently serves as a Manager, primarily supporting KPMG’s State Tax Resource Network concentrating on New Jersey tax matters, but also managing multistate projects including, but not limited to, nexus studies, VDAs, audit defense, federal RAR adjustments and annual compliance. As a member of NJSCPA, Mr. Philips plays an active role in NJSCPA’s State Taxation Committee and Director’s Subcommittee.
