OVERVIEW

With the signing into law of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, CPAs are now faced with understanding a large new tax bill and applying what’s in the bill to their clients and companies in 2025 and beyond.

BENEFITS

  • Get up-to-the-minute insights on newly passed legislation, including provisions that made it into the final bill and those that didn’t.
  • Learn about upcoming deadlines and strategies to claim energy-related tax credits before incentives phase out, and how to help clients or your company take advantage of temporary or newly introduced deductions.
  • Gain practical guidance on revised rules from the SALT cap and bonus depreciation to the new senior deduction and youth-focused Trump accounts so you can proactively plan.

HIGHLIGHTS

This webinar will look at the various provisions in the bill and some that were in the House bill but did not make it into the final bill signed into law.  We'll look at the new upcoming deadlines to obtain certain energy tax credits due to the accelerated repeal of many energy incentives in the law, the revised SALT cap, the additional deduction for seniors and more.

Highlights include:
  • TCJA expiring provisions extended and/or made permanent, including tax rates, increased standard deductions, qualified business income deduction and more
  • Relief given on bonus depreciation, domestic research and experimental cost expensing, and §163(j) business interest
  • New tax provisions such as the additional deduction for seniors, exclusion of tips and overtime pay, the interest deduction on debt financing for the purchase of a new car and the tax advantaged Trump accounts for those under ages 18
