Karin has over 30 years of experience advising corporations and pass-through entities in a variety of industries on state & local tax and escheat matters in both public accounting and corporate roles. Karin also gained significant industry experience through prior leadership roles for a large international media group and a Dow 30 manufacturer. Karin is returning to public accounting where she has previously spent a significant portion of her career with the multistate tax practices of leading Big Four and mid-size firms. Most recently, Karin was a Managing Director with a Big Four firm focusing on state tax due diligence and planning for complex corporate and private equity transactions on both the buy and sell side. Karin has also represented numerous businesses and individuals before state tax authorities guiding them through voluntary disclosure, examination and appeals. Karin takes pride in leveraging her broad experience and diverse skill set to provide practical solutions to issues and challenges facing taxpayers.

Kevin R. Jablonski, CPA, is a senior accountant in WISS’s State and Local Tax Group and assists in the practice of resolving complex SALT issues in all 50 states. With over four years in public accounting, he has a broad foundation of tax knowledge and has begun the process of specializing in SALT. He received his Masters degree from Seton Hall University in 2018 and earned his CPA license two years later.
Fred Komarow, CPA, Wiss and Company has almost 30 years of experience as a State and Local Tax practitioner and consultant. He specializes in multi-state tax issues, in particular sales and use tax research and planning for corporations, nexus analysis, tax controversy and audit defense, and state tax planning for high-net-worth individuals. He has written articles on various state tax issues for the New York CPA Journal, contributed to several tax guides for the Wiley Publishing Company, and has participated in numerous seminars, training sessions and presentations on multiple state and local tax topics, tax research, and legal writing. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University, a MS degree in Taxation, and an MBA degree in Professional Accounting, both from the Gabelli School of Business of Fordham University.
