OVERVIEW

Level Up is a four-day virtual and interactive event for students and recent graduates who are pursuing a career in accounting or finance to equip them with must-know information about how to make a lasting impression on future employers and maximize career opportunities.

Students and entry-level accounting professionals

HIGHLIGHTS

Four workshops will present topics including interview dos and don’ts, resume and LinkedIn profile best practices, CPA Exam strategies, and exploring options in accounting career paths.

In addition to the workshops, there will also be group “Meet the Firm “sessions with CPA firm representatives from around New Jersey to learn more about their firms and their job opportunities. Be sure to sign up for both the workshops and CPA firm sessions. After you sign up, you will receive instructions for sending us your resume. Participating CPA firms will receive all attendee resumes.

Participants can choose to attend as many or few sessions that fit their interests and schedule.

Find Your Accounting Career Path: Tax, Audit, Advisory and Corporate Panel Discussion

Are you unsure of what direction you want to take in your accounting career? Hear from four panelists who will talk about their role in either tax, audit, advisory and corporate accounting. The panelists will explain what their day-to-day responsibilities are and the highs and lows of their chosen pathway.

She previously worked in public accounting at WithumSmith+Brown, working up to a Senior Tax Accountant, before transitioning to private accounting. She is also the founder and owner of Vinch Accounting Services (V.A.S.), which aims to assist the local community and businesses with tax services and consulting. She specializes in the real estate and pharmaceutical industry, while having proficient knowledge of a large array of tax topics. Kaitlin is an active member in both the AICPA as well as the NJCPA, holding a position on the NJCPA Emerging Leaders Council, as well as the local Middlesex Regional Chamber of Commerce Emerging Professionals Council.
