OVERVIEW

Join the Morris/Sussex Chapter for an open but guided discussion on issues affecting practitioners. Gain insights from fellow CPAs and learn new resources to take back to your practice. This meeting is open to CPAs of all firm sizes and industries.

HIGHLIGHTS

At this Forum we will review the New Jersey Pass-Through Business Alternative Income Tax that is being introduced for 2020. If elected, members of pass-through entities can gain a federal deduction when the tax is paid at an entity level. The members also receive a pro-rata credit when they file their New Jersey income tax returns.

The discussion leader for the Forum is Jamie Reichardt a tax attorney in the state and local tax practice at Citrin Cooperman in Philadelphia. Jamie will review the mechanics of the tax, situations where the payment of the tax may be beneficial and possible compliance issues at the federal level.

At the Forum we will also have a discussion of Form 1099-NEC Non-Employee Compensation that is being introduced for 2020 to report service income.
