Risk Is Increasing – and Risk Management Is Evolving – begins to explore techniques and tools to assist in risk management. Value stream and Plus/Delta techniques are used to help the participant see the value ofemploying known/tested tools to risk management. The use of a risk readiness assessment to identify management’s current state regarding risk management is demonstrated. A key to an effective risk management process is to move it from the historic silo-based approach to an enterprise perspective. The session contains lists highlighting trends that can increase risk for organizations including technology, cyber risks, need to recruit and retain talent, business models and more. Executive surveys identifying potential risks and the topic of Black Swan events such as Covid -19, are used to show the need for traditional risk management approaches to evolve into a core activity.
