Irina Balashova

Prior to joining Forensic Resolutions in 2014, Irina had worked for a regional CPA firm as a forensic accountant since 2008, analyzing and quantifying the financial aspects of matters in dispute in various types of cases. Her experience with Forensic Resolutions includes investigating and analyzing claims related to employee fraud, business interruption, commercial damages, property claims, lost profits/economic damages, personal injury and wrongful death.

Irina received her Masters in Engineering from Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 2004. She received her Masters in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2008. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner and is a Certified Internal Auditor. Irina is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Irina has written articles for the Pennsylvania CPA Journal on fraud and forensic accounting topics and participated in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s educational program as an expert witness in 2015 and 2016. She is fluent in English and Russian. Effective January 1, 2019, Irina was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Laura Crowley is a Partner in *Citrin Cooperman’s New Jersey office, focusing on serving the needs of middle market business leaders by learning about their business aspirations and translating them into prudent actionable recommendations. Laura excels at understanding and unraveling complex financial accounting and reporting matters, and the business needs that impact them. She brings her extensive network of professionals to solve her client’s biggest challenges with impactful results. Laura is also a partner in the firm's Quality Control Department helping to ensure that each of Citrin Cooperman's clients receive the highest level of attention.

Laura mentors, coaches, and develops the next generation of internal and external accounting professionals. Her clients are primarily in the financial services, manufacturing and distribution, and restaurant and hospitality industries. Laura is passionate about ensuring that the future of the firm and the profession provide for equal opportunity and fairness in the workplace. She is the winner of NJCPA's Ovation Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award (2021), Volunteer Award (2018), and Women of Note (2016), among others.

Jessica Vrooman

Jessica Vrooman, CPA

Jessica began her accounting career as an income tax intern for The Neve Group, Ltd., a local CPA firm. Jessica’s work included assisting with the preparation of tax returns, resolving tax disputes, QuickBooks entry for small business clients, document management and final return preparation.

Jessica graduated, cum laude, from Drexel University in 2014 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with majors in Accounting and Legal Studies. While at Drexel, Jessica was an active member of Beta Alpha Psi, an International Honors Society for Finance and Accounting Professionals, and also completed two internships in 2012 and 2013 with Forensic Resolutions prior to joining the firm upon graduation.

Jessica is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

At Forensic Resolutions, Jessica is actively involved in evaluating and quantifying all aspects of financial disputes, including: personal injury claims, wrongful death litigation, medical malpractice suits, business lost profit calculations, and fraud investigations, among others.
