Do You Have a Relationship with Any of These Lawmakers?
The NJCPA plays a critical role advocating the views of the accounting profession to New Jersey lawmakers. One of the most powerful methods we use to accomplish our goals is direct contacts made by CPAs who have existing relationships with lawmakers. If you have a relationship with any of the following lawmakers, we're asking you to join our keyperson program.
- Brian Bergen
- John Catalano
- Antwan McCllelan
- William F. Moen, Jr.
- Gary Scharfenberger
- Erik Simonsen
- Jean Steinfield
- Michael Testa
Being an NJCPA keyperson is simple. Approximately once a year, we'll ask you to communicate the Society's position on an issue to the lawmaker you know. You don't need to be an expert on the issue. We’ll provide you with talking points, sample letters or whatever you’ll need to briefly let the lawmaker know how the profession feels about a particular issue. And NJCPA staff is available to answer any questions they may have.
