Ed Mendlowitz, CPA, PFS, ABV, CFF is a partner at WithumSmith+Brown, PC.  He is a member of AICPA, NYSSCPA, NJSCPA and NCACPA.  Ed is the author of 27 professional books including the bestselling How to Review Tax Returns (2014 CPA Trendlines); author of over 1500 articles and blogs and 300 continuing education courses and speeches.  He won the Lawler Award for best article published in 2001 in Journal of Accountancy; and his article in January 2011 Journal of Accountancy was that year’s most viewed article.  Ed has testified twice before House Ways and Means Committee on tax reduction, equity and reform; he is admitted to practice before U.S. Tax Court; and is an MBA professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He was a team captain and performed peer and quality reviews for over 60 practices.  Ed is also author of twice weekly blog, www.partners-network.com.

Brad is a member of the AICPA and the NJCPA, and was a former NJCPA president. In addition, Brad has served as an adjunct professor of accounting at William Paterson University and the College of Saint Elizabeth.

Joseph Zapf, CPA, director in the Assurance Practice at CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, has been a member of the NJCPA since 2012. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Essex Chapter since 2018, previously holding the roles of secretary and vice president. Formerly at SobelCo, Joe has served on the firm’s Data Analytics team which was formed to expand the use of technology in the accounting and auditing profession. Over the years Joe has assumed significant responsibilities as a lead member, offering critical insights, solutions and suggestions to help guide the group. Joe has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
