Peter W. Cook joined Everingham & Kerr in 2013, after spending five years with a National Investment Banking firm where he was involved with over 50 sell-side transactions involving global buyers and US and Canadian sellers. Prior to that, Mr. Cook was a shareholder and EVP of First Index Inc., a trailblazing e-marketplace for custom-manufactured parts founded in 1995. Mr. Cook helped build the company's sales and marketing infrastructure, including a 20 person sales team with offices in Whippany, NJ and Spokane, WA (this team was responsible for generating 70% of the company's revenue). In addition, Mr. Cook was responsible for opening the company's west coast office and maintaining a 40 person staff. As part of the company's international growth strategy, Mr. Cook was also integral in setting up global offices in Shanghai, Bangalore and Budapest. With First Index, Peter forged partnerships with the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and the Tooling and Manufacturing Association (TMA).

Mr. Cook began his career practicing law, where his focus was civil defense litigation, products liability and anti-trust litigation. Mr. Cook is a Registered Representative and holds his Series 7, 79 and 63 registrations. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rutgers College and earned his Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law of Penn State University, where he served on the Kaufman Securities Law Moot Court Team. Peter, his wife and three children reside in Montgomery County, PA.

Dan Kerrigan serves as President of Management Planning, Inc. and is responsible for leading and managing all areas of MPI’s services. He continues to be actively involved in client engagements and oversees MPI’s litigation services, corporate advisory and M&A practice. Since 1999, Dan’s work has been used by MPI clients to assess potential liquidity options, effect corporate restructuring, create new classes of equity, maintain compliance with Employee Stock Ownership Plans and other ERISA plans, and effect intra-family ownership transfers, among others. Dan has appeared as an expert witness in U.S. Tax Court and in other proceedings. He has extensive experience in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, business services, financial institutions, consumer products, manufacturing, distribution and publishing.

Dan is a member of the Board of Directors of Management Planning, Inc. and MPI Securities, Inc., a FINRA-registered broker-dealer.

Dan received his B.S. from The College of New Jersey and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a CFA® Charterholder, a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, and is licensed as a Series 79 Investment Banking Representative.

Mark is a Partner at Management Planning, Inc. and is based in the firm’s Princeton office. He is responsible for client service and business development strategies in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Since joining MPI, Mark has determined the value of closely held securities of companies for a variety of purposes, including estate and gift taxes, income taxes, fairness opinions, stock purchase plans, buy-sell agreements, ownership succession, Employee Stock Ownership Plans, corporate and shareholder planning and S corporation conversions. Mark has extensive experience in many industries including professional sports franchises, beer and alcohol distributors, pharmaceutical manufacturers, newspaper companies, among many other industries. The valuation analyses and reports prepared by Mark have been used for presentations to management, directors and stockholders of client companies, as well as to attorneys, accountants and bank trust representatives. Mark is a member of the Board of Directors of Management Planning, Inc. and MPI Securities, Inc. He has also appeared as an expert witness in business valuation court proceedings.

Mark received his B.S. from The College of New Jersey and his M.B.A. from Rider University. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation with the American Society of Appraisers and a member of various estate planning councils in NJ, PA, and DE. He completed the American Society of Appraisers Principles of Business Valuation Courses I, II, III and IV and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Course.

John Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan brings extensive financial expertise to his clients. For nearly twenty years as a professional in both public accounting and private industry, John has mastered a specialized knowledge of key areas in accounting including financial reporting (audits, reviews, and compilations in conformity with GAAP), internal controls, modeling financial projections, strategic business & tax planning, business valuation, and mergers & acquisitions. As a credentialed valuation analyst, he has the skills and experience necessary to properly value businesses for numerous purposes including mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift tax planning, business succession plans, and matrimonial or shareholder disputes. John has spoken and written on tax, valuation and business consulting topics.

Mr. Sullivan founded Sullivan Strategic to specifically focus on the needs of entrepreneurs. Mr. Sullivan worked at a regional CPA firm since 2002 where he most recently served as Director of its Assurance & Consulting department. Mr. Sullivan’s management advisory services experience includes working alongside private equity entrepreneurs and a publicly traded finance company, CapitalSource (NYSE: CXE) to provide due diligence and valuation services in the acquisition of a 20-year-old direct-response marketing and precious metals/jewelry reclamation dealer, subsequently serve as its Chief Financial Officer, and ultimately handle the sale and wind-down of the Company.

Mr. Sullivan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and has earned the designations of Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credentialed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), respectively. These credentials require passing a rigorous exam, demonstrating considerable professional experience and continuing education in the areas of accounting, tax, business valuation and financial forensics, and adhering to professional standards established by both organizations. Mr. Sullivan is also a member of the New Jersey (NJSCPA) and Pennsylvania (PICPA) state societies, whereby he has contributed articles to the PICPA practice management section.

Mr. Sullivan began his career as a senior auditor at Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four international accounting firms. His Fortune 500 corporate experience includes working as a senior financial analyst at Campbell Soup Company. John graduated Magna Cum Laude in the top six percent of his class from Villanova University, whose undergraduate business program was ranked #1 in the nation according to Bloomberg (2016). John serves as the Treasurer of the South Jersey Society of Financial Service Professionals and volunteers as an active member of the Paw Pal Professionals to fundraise for non-profit organizations such as the Voorhees Animal Orphanage and bring awareness for animal rights. John lives in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with his wife and two children.
