Kelly Kennedy-Ryu is a Manager of the Firm. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York, and has more than 20 years’ experience in public accounting. Kelly has experience in banking and leasing (Private). Kelly has an audit background in the construction, banking, not-for-profit, publishing, RIA, broker/dealers, foundations, trusts, real estate, and public/private school industries. She has assisted clients with implementing accounting standards, and financial reporting. Kelly is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a chairperson for the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Nonprofit (former) and Operational Committees. Kelly concentrates on technical reviews of financial statements in a multitude of industries and related revenue recognition issues. She also plays a significant role in continuing professional education for Smolin through the development of seminars and courses. Kelly also monitors Smolin’s compliance with quality control standards, and supervises the peer review process. Kelly is a graduate of Manhattan College with a B.S. in Accounting. She practices out of our Fairfield, New Jersey office and resides in New Jersey.

Stacey Painter, CPA, licensed as a CPA in Wisconsin, is the Director of Loscalzo Associates Ltd., a division of SmartPros Ltd., a Kaplan company. Stacey has been providing technical training to audiences across the country on subjects ranging from International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and related FASB/IASB joint projects, to Audit and Attest Standards. Stacey has over 20 years of experience in both the public and private industry. Before joining Loscalzo Associates, Stacey spent 13 years with Resources Global Professionals, most recently as the Managing Director of Accounting and Finance Services. In this capacity, Stacey worked with the firm’s U.S. offices in developing go-to-market strategies around accounting initiatives, as well as providing technical training on site to firm clients. Prior to joining Resources, Stacey was the Corporate Controller of Square Two Golf, a publicly-traded manufacturer of golf equipment. Here, she was responsible for all aspects of accounting, financial reporting (SEC), planning and budgeting, Human Resources, and Internal Control. At the start of her career, Stacey spent six years at Deloitte & Touche, auditing clients ranging from $10 million to over $1 billion in revenue. Stacey received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Pace University in New York. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jarrod M. Rhen, CPA, CITP, is a Sr. Manager at WithumSmith+Brown. He has 10 years of accounting and auditing experience, focusing on small publicly traded companies, and privately held companies with complex capital structures in the fields of manufacturing, biopharmaceutical development, financial services and technology. He frequently makes presentations to accounting firms, bankers and academics on complex accounting topics including derivatives, hedging and fair value calculations. Mr. Rhen holds Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and finance from Millersville University of Pennsylvania where he studied business administration and economics and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA).

Henry Rinder, CPA/ABV, CFE, DABFE, is with the firm of Smolin, Lupin & Co., P.A. He has audit and accounting experience in construction, wholesale/distribution and manufacturing. Mr. Rinder provides litigation support and business valuation services. He also has experience in audits and management of nonprofit organizations. Mr. Rinder is licensed as a CPA in New Jersey and New York, certified as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV). He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Accountants. Mr. Rinder is a member of the AICPA, the NJCPA, the Institute of Business Appraisers and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He served on the prestigious Technical Issues Committee of the AICPA and has served on many committees for the NJCPA. Additionally, Mr. Rinder served as the 2005/06 president of the NJCPA.
