David Dacey

David R. Dacey, CPA

David R. Dacey, CPA, is the partner in charge of Withum’s Technical Resources Group, the group which oversees A&A quality within the firm. Dave is based in the firm’s New Brunswick office and has over 30 years of professional accounting and auditing experience. Dave is a certified public accountant in the state of New Jersey. Dave also heads Withum’s accounting and auditing policy CPE committee and is responsible for researching and disseminating updates on technical accounting and auditing pronouncements to the Firm’s professional personnel. His experience spans many industries, including various aspects of manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, and service industries including the legal and medical professions, construction and retail.

Dave received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rutgers University, Newark. Before joining Withum, Dave worked with a large regional firm, and with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is a member of the AICPA, where he has participated in various task forces of the SEC Practice Section Peer Review Committee. He is also a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) and is a frequent presenter at various NJCPA educational seminars, including their annual ERISA conference for 2010 through 2017. Dave resides in Somerset County, NJ.

Brian Gibney

Brian T. Gibney, CPA

Brian T. Gibney, CPA, PSA, CIRA, is a partner in the New Brunswick office of WithumSmith+Brown. He has over 30 years of public accounting experience. Mr. Gibney is a licensed certified public accountant in the states of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He is also a certified public school accountant and certified insolvency and restructuring advisor. His expertise includes litigation support, bankruptcy and quality control. His primary area of specialty is in the audits of not-for-profit organizations.

Mr. Gibney has participated in hundreds of audits of governmentally-funded companies and agencies. He has supervised investigative audits for the inspector general of the U.S. departments of agriculture, labor, health and human services; the U.S. National Science Foundation; the State of New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia.

He received his BS in accounting from Syracuse University. He is a member of the AICPA, NJCPA, NYSSCPA, PICPA and AIRA.

Michael Kulick

Michael M. Kulick, CPA, MBA is a Senior Manager at WithumSmith+Brown. His public accounting experience includes auditing, financial statement analysis and preparation, as well as business consulting with a focus on privately-held entities. Mr. Kulick has extensive accounting and auditing experience including a concentration in businesses in the manufacturing, wholesale and distribution, information technology, and retail sectors. He has expertise in performing full and limited scope audits of employee benefit plans of publicly and privately held companies. He also serves on the WS+B Employee Benefits & Pension Plans Leadership Committee. Mr. Kulick attended Providence College and the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University. He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a member of both the AICPA and NJSCPA.

Beverly Linane

Beverly H. Linane, CPA

Beverly Linane, CPA, PSA is a manager in the technical resources department of WithumSmith+Brown, PC. She has over 25 years of public accounting experience specializing in the nonprofit area, particularly in the educational arena and engagements requiring compliance with governmental regulations; also has experience in the healthcare, government and real estate industries. She is a member of the Firm's Technical Resources and Quality Control Department responsible for reviewing audit, review and compilation engagements prior to issuance. She serves on the Firm’s Continuing Professional Education Committee, the Government Services and HealthCare Services Groups and provides technical research and consultation regarding accounting and auditing matters to the Firm and clients.

Ms. Linane received her BS in accounting from Monmouth University. She is a member of the AICPA and the NJCPA where she serves as a member on the Accounting and Auditing Standards Interest Group and the Nonprofit Interest Group.
