The presenters will discuss family business transfers and IRAs. Most individuals will accumulate a significant amount of wealth through contributions or rollovers from qualified plans into IRAs. Although the rules in this area provide for tremendous planning opportunities, they are very complex. Learn how to distinguish between the various types of IRAS, the basics of rollovers, and more.

Part 2: Real Estate Market Overview
Michael, Jr. - Columbia Bank
This session will cover an overview of the New Jersey real estate market including: office, logistics (formerly industrial), retail and multi-family. Hear about capitalization rate trends, the single family market and conclude with a question and answer session.

Bruce Bickar, RICP is the head of the Case Design Unit and Training department and co-head of the MLSG Investment department at MetLife Solutions Group in Cranford. Mr. Bickar has over 30 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. He is licensed to offer Life & Health Insurance, variable annuities and securities products.

Mr. Bickar graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University with a degree in Economics and Finance. He is an accomplished public speaker who has conducted more than 500 public seminars and presentations.

He is a dynamic expert in real estate appraisal and asset management with career spanning 14 years in client consulting and appraisal for residential, commercial, and industrial properties, supported by an additional 3 years in entrepreneurial executive leadership. He has demonstrated ability to manage the full lifecycle for land deal negotiation, development, construction / build-out, and disposition. In depth deal-cycle knowledge, provides for deeper knowledge of the valuation process. He earned a BS from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration.

Brian Singleton

Brian Singleton, J.D., ChFC, CLU

Brian D. Singleton J.D., ChFC, CLU is the Director of Advanced Markets for Metlife Solutions Group. He focuses on developing Income Tax, Estate Tax, and Business Succession Planning strategies for families and business owners.

A native of Ohio, Mr. Singleton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Brian was a 2X Ohio State Wrestling Champion, 2X Mid-American Conference Champion and 3X NCAA Division I National Qualifier finishing in the Round of 12 all three years. After leaving Kent he received his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law in Akron, Ohio. He has been in the wealth management business for 15 years helping families and business owners protect, grow, and transfer their wealth.

Mr. Singleton lectures frequently to families, business owners, CPAs and other advisors. He is a member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriting. He has attended The Forum 400 and has served on the Board of Directors for local chapters of NAIFA, The Financial Planning Association and the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
