Lawrence S. Gray, CPA, is a partner with EisnerAmper LLP. He has thirty years of experience serving a variety of industries in both the public and private sectors. As co-leader of the Professional Practice Group for accounting and auditing services, he is frequently consulted on Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) matters. He customarily fields questions from the firm’s professionals on various technical matters and also participates in regular discussions with other CPA firms and colleagues on a range of technical and other matters. Mr. Gray frequently speaks before various professional organizations and has been quoted and published in a variety of professional media on topics related to internal controls, responsibilities of audit committee members, international financial reporting standards and expensing stock options. Mr. Gray is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). He currently serves on the Financial Reporting Executive Committee (FinREC), which is the senior technical committee of the AICPA for financial reporting. He is also a member of the AICPA’s National Peer Review Committee. Mr. Gray was previously a vice president for the NJSCPA and prior member of the board of trustees and its Audit Committee. In addition, he is a past Accounting & Auditing Resource group leader as well as former chairperson of the Accounting & Auditing Standards Committee of the NJSCPA. Mr. Gray received his M.B.A. in accounting from New York University after majoring in economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
